About only 60 for every cent of the arrived turmeric was bought on Thursday.
R.K.V. Ravishankar, President, Erode Turmeric Retailers Association reported: “The sale of turmeric has been decreased to 60 for every cent as only medium excellent turmeric is arriving for sale. Further more, the traders have only area need, and are ready for the upcountry need. Some baggage of finger turmeric fetched a little bit enhanced selling price of ₹75 to ₹100 a quintal due to great excellent amid the medium range. The traders obtained all these kinds of turmeric for their area need.”
He reported the arrival of turmeric for sale was at two,500 to 3,000 baggage a working day, as most of the farmers have been fast paced in their agricultural operations in Kalingarayan ayacut area due to release of h2o in the canal. There is no advancement in selling price at the Turmeric Futures and also no clean upcountry need has been received by traders.
At the Erode Turmeric Retailers Association income garden, finger turmeric was bought at ₹5,299 to ₹6,459 a quintal, the root range was bought at ₹4,889 to ₹5,689 a quintal. Of the arrival of one,495 baggage of turmeric all-around 419 baggage have been bought.
At the Regulated Advertising Committee, finger turmeric was bought at ₹4,810 to ₹6,042 a quintal, root range at ₹4,610 to ₹5,519 a quintal. Of the 582 baggage of turmeric put for sale, 558 baggage have been bought.
At the Erode Cooperative Advertising Culture, finger turmeric was bought at ₹5,011 to ₹6,399 a quintal, the root range at ₹4,899 to ₹5,659 a quintal. Of the 858 baggage of turmeric held for sale, 751 baggage have been bought.
